Duane Rhodus

Age 61 of Oxford passed away at his home on Saturday January 31, 2015. He was born in Hamilton on August 23, 1953 the son of Edgar and Clara (Roark) Rhodus. Duane was a veteran of the U. S. Army. He was a retired employee of Hueston Woods Lodge. On May 12, 2001 at Hueston Woods Lodge, he married Monica Diane Thoms. Duane enjoyed the outdoors and bowling. He loved horses. He is survived by his wife to who he was devoted, Monica Rhodus; his children, Jeremi Rhodus, Josh (Amber) Rhodus, Justin (Shalene) Rhodus, Martha Hicks, Brent (Lindsey) Hicks, Geoffrey (Bonnie) Hicks, and Cedric Hicks; 16 grandchildren; his sisters, Marilyn (Cecil) Rhodus and Donna (J.L.) Peters; brothers, Eddie (Marcia) Rhodus and Tommy (Julia) Rhodus; and a sister-in-law, Helen Rhodus. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Gene Rhodus. A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, February 11th from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Hope Ministry Outreach, 11462 SR 177, Morning Sun, Ohio with Pastor Deborah Richardson officiating. In additional to street parking, parking is available at the Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hope Ministry Outreach through Somerville National Bank.
