Elsie L. Barnes, age 80, went to be with the Lord on May 12, 2014 at her home in Hamilton, Ohio. She was born on July 25, 1933 in Hamilton, Ohio to the late William and Retha Lakes. Elsie was a top Avon representative for over 40 years, she also is in the Avon Hall of Fame in New York City and continued to sell up until she fell ill six months ago. Elsie was family oriented and loved spending her days with her friends and family. She was a member of Tri-County Assembly Church where she served faithfully in their food pantry. Elsie was married to Howard E. Barnes who preceded her in death on October 29, 2009. Elsie is survived by her son Brian E. Barnes; granddaughter Meghan Barnes; brother Ronnie (Barb) Lakes; and special friends Verla (Jason) Bell, Kaitlyn Bell, Courtney Bell, and Logan Bell. Elsie is preceded in death by five brothers Harold Lakes, Paul Lakes, Robert Lakes, Delbert Lakes, Kenneth Lakes; three sisters Onalee Cameron, Lillian Johnson, Wanda Roberts.
