Forest "Cotton" McGuire, age 72 of Hamilton passed away at his residence on Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at 12:58 PM. He was born in Hamilton on January 12, 1940 the son of Fairy and Gertrude (Alcorn) McGuire. Forest was the owner/operator of Dixie Lounge and McGuire's Used Cars, retiring in 2002. He was a member of Eagles and Moose Lodges.
He is survived by three sons, David Denzil McGuire, Ricky Dean McGuire, and Lester Lunsford; a grandson, Shane McGuire; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and four siblings, Doyle McGuire, Garnett McGuire, Phyllis McGuire, and Annabelle Davis.
