George A. Sefton, age 90, passed away on July 26, 2021. He was born on September 26, 1930 in Shandon, Ohio to Floyd and Mamie (Morris) Sefton. He graduated from Ross High School and the Indiana Institute of Technology with a Bachelor’s Degree in Aeronautical Engineering. George served as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a long standing member of Crestview Presbyterian Church in West Chester, Ohio. George enjoyed golfing, bowling, camping, traveling, and spending time with his family. On August 30, 1958 he married Dorothy Anderson and together they had three children.
George is survived by his wife of 62 years, Dorothy “Dot”; his children, Steven (Holly) and David (Phillip); his grandchildren, Ross (Meghan) and Erin; his brothers, James (Jackie) and William (Marilyn). He was preceded in death by his son, John; his brothers, Glenn, Gene, and his parents.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 30, 2021 at 4:30 pm with a Memorial Service at 6:00 pm at Crestview Presbyterian Church 9463 Cincinnati Columbus Road West Chester, OH 45069 with Pastor Shawn Barkley officiating. Private burial will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Crestview Presbyterian Church or The Alzheimer’s Association.
