Helen Lorain Rose Lawrence, age 97 of Fairfield, passed away at Doverwood Village on Saturday, July 5, 2025. She was born on April 25, 1928 in Louisville, KY, the daughter of the late Clifton Paul and Hazel (Leffler) Thompson. Helen grew up a Notre Dame girl and was a switchboard operator for Bell Telephone Company. On January 7, 1950 in Lawrenceburg, IN, she married her husband of over 55 years, Leslie Earl Lawrence, who preceded her in death on November 2, 2005. Helen is survived by her children, Joseph (Heather) Lawrence, Linda (Kent) Wrampelmeier, and Brenda (John) Roach; granddaughters, Emily Wrampelmeier and Haley Roach; siblings, Betty Atyeo, Anna Louise (Bill) House, Daniel (Jean) Thompson, and William (Bo) Thompson; devoted caregivers, Pam, Kim, and Bryan; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and siblings, Paul Thompson, Tex Thompson, and Jean Thompson. Services will be Private.
