

Our beloved mother and matriarch, Jean Shelton (Turner), 84 of Hamilton, passed away in her home on August 12, 2017. Jean was born January 19, 1933 in London, Kentucky to Walter and Lucy (Harville) Shelton, who raised her with love and guidance. Left to cherish her life and memories are her children, Ruth Ann Turner, Kathy Turner, Rick Turner and son-in-law Charles Gibson; siblings, Shirley (Obra) Pigman, Ed (Judy) Shelton and Jim (Judy) McWilliams; six grandchildren, Sherry Alcorn, Danielle Turner, Rick (Amber) Turner, Joshua (Mary Brown) Withers, Ashley Ledford and Adriana Gayheart; nine great grandchildren who loved and adored Mamaw, and 18 nieces and nephews; each of whom held a special place in Aunt Jean’s heart. During Jean’s life, she proudly owned and operated her own businesses in Hamilton and Sarasota, Florida. She also worked for Champion Papers and Avon Products for many years. Jean loved to travel and was always ready to join family and friends in Las Vegas. She leaves behind extended family and was a valued friend to all. Jean was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Cindi Ledford; father of her children, Adrion Turner; her second husband Charles “Doc” Boyd; sister and brother-in-law, Louise and Arnold Hibbitts; niece Sheryl Back; and nephews, Eddie Shelton, Marty Shelton and David Hibbitts. The family would like to thank the health care professionals who cared for our mother. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 from 12pm to 1pm at the Webb Noonan Kidd Funeral Home. Funeral ceremony will follow at 1pm with entombment held at Butler County Memorial Park.
