John S. Shearer, age 91 of Hamilton, passed away at Berkeley Square Retirement Center on Saturday, October 11, 2014. He was born in Berea on March 26, 1923 to Garfield and Verna (Kindred) Shearer. On June 21, 1942 he married Geneva Peters and together they enjoyed over 60 years of marriage. John was employed at Fisher Body for 30 years and retired in 1977. John was a proud veteran of the United States Army. He was a member of the Morning Star Christian Fellowship Church for many years. He was loved by all who knew him.

He is survived by his two sisters, Ethel Goins of Hamilton and Norma Nash of Columbus and many nieces, nephews and special friend Dot Richardson. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, four brothers and three sisters.
