John R. Strayer

John Robert Strayer, age 83 of West Chester, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at West Chester Hospital. He was born on March 19, 1935 in Chicago, IL, the son of the late John M. and Gertrude (LeVan) Strayer. John was a Computer Analyst at Cincinnati Financial in Fairfield for over 25 years and a United States Army veteran. On May 17, 1975 he married his wife of over 43 years, Gerri Todd, at the church where they are both members, Clifton Church of Christ. John is survived by his wife; children, Tammie Scarbrough (John) Borenski and Steve (Kelly) Scarbrough; and grandchildren, Justin (Megan), Hayley, and Madison Scarbrough. Visitation will be held from 10am until 11am on Friday, February 15, 2019 at the Clifton Church of Christ, 695 Berkshire Lane, Cincinnati, OH 45220. Funeral Service will be at 11am on Friday at the church with Elder Larry Seward officiating. Interment will follow in Arlington Memorial Gardens.
