Joseph, passed away Saturday February 9, 2013 at the age of 85. He was born to the late John "Speed" and Lula Carpenter. Joseph is the beloved husband of Margaret V. Carpenter and loving father to Sandra Carpenter. He is also survived by his sisters; Elsie (Albert) Davis and Callie Davis as well as many loving nieces, nephews, family and friends. He was preceded in death by his brothers Thomas Jay Carpenter, George Carpenter, Donald Carpenter; sisters Dorothy Carpenter and Opal Elliot; nephews Rick Carpenter and David Elliot and great-nephew Joseph Davis. Jospeh was a proud member of the UAW and worked for GM from1949 to 1987, he served his country in Korea from 1950 to 1952 and attended the Tri-County Church of the Nazarene.
