Lawrence A. Meeks

Lawrence A. "Larry" Meeks, passed away September 1, 2016. He was born the son of the late Waldon Meeks and Laura Meeks in Columbus Ohio on February 3, 1936. Larry graduated from the Columbus Central High School in 1954 and The Ohio State University in 1960. He was a member of many singing groups including the Kingsmen, The Ohio State University Chorus, Forest Chapel United Methodist Church Choir and their Bell Choir, the Cincinnati May Festival Chorus and the Episcopal Church Boys Choir in Columbus Ohio. He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years Joy C. (nee Petty) Meeks, his children Rebecca (Tom) Crow, Jeff (Susan) Meeks and Cat (Rob) Holian; grandchildren Cameron, Jordan, Keenan, Delaney and Ashton Holian as well as his siblings Don (Mary) Meeks, Tom (Sally) Meeks, Ann (Larry) Allen and Deb (Glenn) Lees. He will also be deeply missed by many loving nieces, nephews and friends.In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made the Melanoma Research Alliance Foundation, www.CureMelanoma.org Visitation will be 11am to 1pm on Tuesday September 6, 2016 at the Ivey Funeral Home 2565 Princeton Rd., Hamilton Ohio 45011. Funeral service will be 1pm Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Columbus Ohio on Sept.7, 2016
