Stansel, Leann Virginia, age 87, passed away Saturday, September 20, 2025. She was born on October 14, 1937, in Covington, Kentucky, to the union of Virgil Stover and Sarah Mabelle Whaley. Leann’s sassy, fiery, and feisty personality kept everyone that she knew on their toes. She made sure that laughter was a part of daily life. Leann loved and was deeply loved. All will miss her undeniable presence.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Leann is survived by her son, Christopher Stansel (Michelle); her daughter, Cynthia Risner (Kevin); her sister, Linda Stephens; her grandchildren, Joshua Heinrich (Krista), Hannah Brock (Kyle), and Haley Rouse (Gage); four great-grandchildren, and a host of other family and friends who will miss her.
