
Lenora Klemme Ziepfel Okruhlica, age 96, passed away at Berkeley Healthcare on Wednesday, January 18, 2012. She was born August 13, 1915, in Brookville, Indiana, daughter of Herman and Elizabeth (Wolber) Klemme. She attended Hanover School and graduated in 1933. On April 1, 1937, Lenora married Albert Edward Ziepfel who passed away on April 16, 1985. On June 1, 1991, she married Stephen Okruhlica who passed away on March 16, 1999. Lenora retired in 1977 after 22 years as head teller from First National Bank of Hamilton. She had been previously employed at JC Penny and Champion Oil. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Walter 1931, four sisters, Elsie Ward 1969, Ada Proeschel 1989, Esther Conrad 2002 and Helen Nowlin 2006. Survivors include Lenora's son, John Ziepfel and his wife Sandra of Hamilton; daughter, Cassandra and her husband Charles Smith of Dunkirk, Indiana; three grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Lenora was also survived by step-daughters, Lois Jacobs of Hamilton and Doris and her husband Gene Daniels of Philip, South Dakota; and step-son, Stephen and his wife Linda Okruhlica of Oak Harbor, Washington. The family expresses special thanks to the nursing staff at Berkeley Retirement Community and Hospice of Cincinnati. Funeral Services will be held at Webb Noonan Kidd Funeral Home, Ross Avenue at South "D" Street, Hamilton, at 10am on Monday, January 23, 2012, with Rev. Timothy Landers and Rev. Dave Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Family and friends will be received on Sunday from 2-5pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Zion Lutheran Church, 212 South Front Street, Hamilton, Ohio 45011.
