

Lula Mae Depew, age 93, of Hamilton, Ohio, passed away Monday, February 2, 2026. She was born in Climax, Kentucky on April 25, 1932, to the union of Walter Coffey and Ora Anglin. She was employed as a bookkeeper for many years.
Lula Mae loved The Lord and was a Sunday school teacher who made sure that her children were always in attendance. She truly loved everyone and hated no one. In her spare time, she created elaborate embroidered designs that her family will continue to cherish. Lula Mae enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking holiday meals, and being on the beach where she would just sit and listen to the crashing waves for hours.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Donald Ray Depew, and her daughter, Gayla Jones.
Lula is survived by her sons, Gary Depew, and Donald Depew (Heather); her daughters, Melanie Eshom (Chard), Merrie McElfresh (Ben), and Jana Thomas; her grandchildren, Christince McDuffie (Michael), Carissa Jones, David and Jonathan Eshom, April McElfresh, Scott Thomas (Leslie). Christopher and James Thomas (Joy); her great-grandchildren, Jerica Thomas, Micaiah and Josiah McDuffie, along with a host of other family and friends who will cherish her memory.
