Margaret Adaire “Peggy” Smith, age 79 of Trenton passed away Tuesday, August 29, 2023 following a brief illness. Peggy was born December 18, 1943 to the late Charles and Agnes Shanks. Peggy was one of 14 siblings. She was preceded in death by her sisters Josephine Landrum, Kaye Byrd, Lois Ann Clymer & Betty Barnhart and brothers Charles, Daryll , Richard, Jack & Earl Shanks. Surviving siblings include Raymond Shanks, Nancy Osborne, Jahne Palmer and Lee Shanks. Peggy is survived by her loving daughters Cynthia (Michael) Seiler of Key West, Florida and Stephanie (Jason) Wright of Severna Park, Maryland. The true loves of Peggy’s life are her surviving Grandchildren; Henry Hayden & Emmy Elizabeth Wright and Aubree Adaire (Raiko) Alfonso, and her Great- Granddaughters Isla and Ivy Alphonso. Stephanie and Cyndi would like to thank their mothers very special friend Denise Dennis and loving niece Linda Frederick Shanks. Margaret’s life will be celebrated by her children and grandchildren in a private ceremony in Florida. Her memory will live on always.
