Age 83, of Hamilton, died Saturday, June 30, 2012 in Hospice of Hamilton. She was born in Hamilton on June 23, 1929, the daughter of John and Elizabeth (Gill) McMahan. She was a 1947 graduate of Hamilton High School. She married Bill Grubbs on December 16, 1950 in Hamilton. She was the school secretary at Fillmore Elementary School for 17 years, retiring in 1985. She was a member of Faith Church. She was a former member of Young Matrons Club and an avid bridge player. Her family was her passion and she was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her husband, Bill; two sons, Robert (Patricia Linn) Grubbs, Seattle, Washington and Rick (Susan Moniz) Grubbs, Des Plaines, Illinois; one daughter, Sherry (Todd) Henry, Hamilton; one brother, Gene (Penny) McMahan, Newcastle, Delaware and four grandchildren: Kathryn Grubbs, John Grubbs, Isabelle Grubbs and Aidan Grubbs. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Russell McMahan.
