Merleen Sue Ruby

RUBY, Merleen Sue age 81, passed Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at her residence with her loving family by her side as she meet her Lord. She was born in Lucasville, Ohio to M. Farl and Susie Keller. Merleen married Donald Ruby on October 12, 1957. The two were each other’s lifelong companions and best friends for 65 years. They were blessed with three children. She enjoyed being a pastor’s wife, helping out at the Church. Merleen will be especially remembered for her sweet, kind and gentle spirit that she had whenever she spoke to you and her beautiful voice when she would sing solo or in the choir for the Lord.

She is preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter, Rachel Spitznagel; brother, Jeff Keller.

Merleen is survived by her devoted husband, Donald; children and spouses, Brent Ruby, Brian Ruby and Melissa (Ruby) McVey; grandchildren, Preston, Cassie, Maribeth, Adam and Hannah; ten great-grandchildren; siblings, Kae Lucket, Debra Chatfield and Cole Keller. She will be loved and cherished by a host of family and friends.

Visitation will be held at 10:00 am until Services at 11:00 am on Thursday, July 7, 2022 at the Rose Hill Funeral Home, 2565 Princeton Road, Hamilton, Ohio 45011. Pastor Arvil Jones will officiate. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Gideons, online www.gideons.org.
