Muriel A. Gardner

Gardner, Muriel A., age 91, passed away April 1, 2017, at Berkeley Square Retirement Center in Hamilton. She was born to the late William and Ann Beck on November 20, 1925, in Hamilton, OH. Muriel graduated from Notre Dame High School and was later employed at Fisher Body where she met the love of her life, Winston K. Gardner. On September 17, 1949, they were married at St. Mary's Church, and he preceded her in death in 1984. She had volunteered at Mercy Hospital, the ARK transportation, and St. Mary's Church. Muriel enjoyed travel, animals, and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her sister, Alta Beck Lander. Survivors include her brother-in-law, Harry Lander, at Otterbein Retirement Community, Lebanon, OH; her two nephews: Steven (Lynn) Lander of Hamilton, OH, and John Lander, of McCordsville, IN; two nieces: Karen (Ron) Sollberger of Crestview Hills, KY, and Linda (Mike) Palendat, of Sellersburg, IN. She was lovingly involved with her great-nephews and great- nieces: Matthew Lander, Joseph and Lauren Seibert, Jane (John) White, Ryan and Scott Sollberger. Muriel's visitation will be at St. Julie Billiart Parish, 224 Dayton St., Hamilton, OH, 45011, on Saturday, April 8, from 10am - 11am with a funeral mass to follow at 11:00. Internment will take place at St. Stephen's Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Vincent DePaul Society of St. Julie Billiart or your favorite animal shelter.
