Norbert G. Barnes, age 78 of Hamilton, passed away on Wednesday, November 18, 2015. He was born on September 3, 1937 in Reading, the son of the late Ernest Sr. and Hazel (Joseph) Barnes. Norbert married his wife of over 55 years, Phyllis (Ingram) Barnes, on July 23, 1960. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, a retired Detective with the Hamilton Police Department and a member of the F.O.P. Lodge #38. Norbert is survived by his wife; son, Jeffrey (Kathleen) Barnes; grandchildren, Christopher and Julie Barnes; and brother, Ernest Barnes, Jr. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, James Barnes. Visitation will be held from 11am until 1pm on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at Webb Noonan Kidd Funeral Home, Ross Avenue at South “D” Street, Hamilton. Funeral Service will be held at 1pm on Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park.
