Norma J. Burgess Martin

Norma J. Martin, age 95 of Hamilton, passed away on Thursday, September 15, 2016 at Doverwood Village. She was born on July 2, 1921 in Franklin Co., IN, the daughter of the late Harvey and Alice (Brann) Burgess. On September 20, 1941 in Macon, GA, Norma married her husband of over 54 years, James L. Martin, who preceded her in death on May 10, 1996. She was a member of Fairfield Church of Christ. Norma is survived by her brother-in-law, William Martin; nieces, Sandy Hurley, Patti Martin Kenney and Tonya Hurley Hughes; and numerous other nieces, nephews, family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her son, Larry J. Martin. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the caregivers at Doverwood and Vitas Hospice for their loving care. Visitation will be held from 10am until 11am on Monday, September 19, 2016 at Webb Noonan Kidd Funeral Home, Ross Avenue at South “D” Street, Hamilton. Funeral Service will be held at 11am on Monday at the funeral home with Pastor David Hargraves officiating. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park.
