

Paul James Bryars, age 93, of Cincinnati, died on Wednesday, May 12, 2011, at Berkeley Square Retirement Community. He was born in Norwood, Ohio, on July 19, 1917, the son of the late Richard David and Margaret (Mitchell) Bryars. Paul proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII where he received the Bronze Star Medal, Good Conduct Medal, American Campaign Medal, and the European African Middle Eastern Service Medal with 5 Bronze Stars. He received his BBA from the University of Cincinnati in 1949. Paul is survived by his three children, Paula Roark, Eric (Cynthia) Bryars and Lore (Terry) Krieg; nine grandchildren, Carrie (Tim) Tolford, Megan (Jim) Sebastian, Raymond Bryars, Garrett Bryars, Ella Bryars, Joshua (Nina) Peeno, Courtney (Kevin) Hickey, Kylie Krieg and Kailyn Krieg; four great-grandchildren, Sophia Tolford, Michaela Tolford, Nathaniel Tolford and Jackson Peeno. Paul was also preceded in death by his brother, John Mitchell Bryars and his sister, Dorothy Elizabeth Cassady. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family with inurnment in Arlington National Cemetery.
