

Peter Russell Morris, age 85, of Hamilton, died on Sunday, February 5, 2012, with his faithful companion, Gretel, by his side. He was born in Perth Amboy, New Jersey, on June 21, 1926, the son of the late Russell V. and Ann A. (MacDonald) Morris. Peter received his Bachelors from Case Institute of Technology and his Masters from the University of Cincinnati. On August 30, 1952, in Downers Grove, Illinois, Peter married his wife of over 52 years, Doris May Wenzel, and she preceded him in death on October 27, 2004. He was a Physicist with Armco Steel Research for 20 years retiring in 1984. Peter was a member of The Presbyterian Church in Hamilton, a U.S. Army WWII Veteran, very active in Habitat for Humanity and continued to publish in the field of metallurgical spectrochemistry even after retiring. Peter is survived by his three daughters, Laura Rees and husband Larry of Westerville, Ohio, Amy Martin and husband John of Lebanon, Kentucky, and Beth Fineran and husband James of Zanesville, Ohio; four grandchildren, Jamie Moss, Daniel Martin, Kelly Wright and Stacey Fineran; four great-grandchildren, Hailey Martin, Layla Martin, John Martin and Emma Wright; and brother, Hugh Morris of Frederick Maryland. A Memorial Service will be held at 1pm on Saturday, February 18, 2012 at The Presbyterian Church, 19 South Front Street, Hamilton, Ohio 45011.
