

Age 76, of Hamilton, died on Wednesday, May 18, 2011, at Mercy Hospital of Fairfield. He was born in Orlando, Kentucky, on August 27, 1934, the son of the late Mart and Lillie (Gray) Proctor. Ray graduated with the Fairfield High School class of 1953. He played baseball in the Minor Leagues in Austin, Texas, until he was drafted into the U.S. Army as a tank operator. Ray was an ordained minister and a member of the Harbor Christian Fellowship in Lebanon. He was employed by General Motors as a certified welder. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching his granddaughter play softball and his grandson Luke. Ray is survived by his daughter, Lisa (Patrick) Glaser of Fairfield; son, Marty (Karen) Proctor of Oxford; two grandchildren, Amanda Proctor and Luke Glaser of Fairfield; best friend Jean Proctor of Fairfield; sister, Vonda (Ray) Thompson of Hamilton; and special friends Snell, Saylor, Hensley, Baker and many more friends. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Kenneth Proctor, during WWII and Jim Proctor. Funeral services will be held at Webb Noonan Kidd Funeral Home, Ross Avenue at South “D” Street, Hamilton, at 12noon on Friday, May 20, 2011, with Pastor Tim Hale officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Family and friends will be received prior to the service on Friday from 10am-12noon.
