MASSIE, Richard L. age 82, beloved husband and best friend of Lozella Massie, died Friday, February 15, 2013 at University Hospital, Cincinnati, Ohio. He was born in Hamilton, Ohio on March 12, 1930 the son of Loyal and Ruth (Miller) Massie and was a 1948 graduate of Hamilton High School. Richard was a veteran of the US Air force serving in Greenland and retired in 1986 after thirty four years as a Manager from AT&T. On May 5, 1989 in Hamilton, Ohio he married Lozella Craig. Survivors include his wife, Lozella; two children, Rick (Darlene) Massie of Fairfield, Ohio, Pamela (Jim) Detzel of Cincinnati, Ohio; two step children, David (Amy) Hale of South Orange, New Jersey, and Deborah Kidwell, of Highland Heights, Kentucky; five grandchildren, Ashley Hatfield, Brittany Dyce, Lyndsay Detzel, Bryan and Cameron Hale; a great granddaughter, Destinee Hale; two sisters, Patricia (Dave) Rhodes of South Carolina, and Cheryl L. Ash of Madison, Indiana; a brother, Donald (Kim) Massie of Bellbrook, Ohio.
