We met Bobby and Pauline when they built their house directly behind ours. We found him to be caring and willing to help anyone when the need arose. Imagine the shock we felt when we learned of his passing. He is so missed. Rest well our friend.

Bobby has been a member of our family for over 30 years.  He was a great neighbor and friend.   He was always so caring and happy to lend a helping hand whenever we needed him.  He was loved by our whole family.  We will miss him dearly.

I worked with Bobby for 22 years. 
Wonderful man to be around. During that time he also came to my barber shop and home for haircuts. One time while working together to learn the electrician trade, he said “Earl, you see that piece of wire laying on the floor, always consider it as being hot.” It was not connected to anything but he was teaching me to respect the danger of Electricity. 
Rest in peace Bobby. I will never forget you.

So very sorry to hear of Mr. Smithers' passing. He was such a dear man. I remember he and Mrs. Smithers pulling up alongside me as I took my walks along the street while pregnant and later stopping by to see how our boys were doing. He will be missed by the cul-de-sac neighbors. 

This is a High School Pic of bobby. Not sure of the date, guessing 1959 or 1960. He Graduate from Liberty High School( KY ) in 1961.

Sympathy to Robert s family, We all went to Chelf Ridge grade school(1-8). We were neighbors and attended Poplar Grove Baptist Church. A wonderful family.
