SCOTT, Samuel Rowland age 82 of Fairfield passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, at his residence on Saturday, October 19, 2013 at 10:35 AM. He was born in Rockcastle County, Kentucky on December 2, 1930 the son of George Dewey and Emma (Peters) Scott. Samuel was a veteran of the Korean War with United States Air Force from 1948 to 1952. He was employed as an industrial engineer at KDI Precision Products for more than thirty years, retiring in 1993 and attended the Princeton Pike Church of God. On June 26, 1954 in Hamilton he married Edna Lou Short and she preceded him in death after thirty-six years of marriage and on March 20, 1992 in Fairfield he married Evelyn M. Smith. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Scott of Fairfield, two children, Tina M. (Doug) Ellis and Brian Lee Scott, both of Hamilton; two stepdaughters, Cyndi Cleveland of Fairfield and Linda K. (Carl) Miller of Greenville; six siblings, Edward (Elsie) Scott of Hamilton, Shirley Phillips and Isabella (Gaston) Bowling, both of Oxford, Laura (Bob) Short of Hamilton, Ardella (Ed) Redwine of Springdale, and Louvada (Paul) Saunderhaus of Colerain Township; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and three step great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Sabrina K. Reasch; and three siblings, Lindsey Scott, Gladys Morris, and Marie Allen. www.browndawsonflick.com
