Steven Lee Schmitz passed away August 12, 2012 at the age of 55. He was born January 7, 1957 in Elsmere, Ky to the late Bernard and Myrtle Schmitz. He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Patricia Ann Schmitz, brothers; Bernard Schmitz Jr., Gary Schmitz, Frank (Vicki) Schmitz and Randal (Taura) Schmitz, sisters; Jill Lawson, Linda Schmitz, Beth Woods, and Mary Lou Sturgeon, Niece Trina Ross, great-nieces Erin and Brittany Ross and great-nephew Ryan Thomas, brother in law Bill Clark, great-nieces Jessica T. Loos, Sarah Anne Ray and Kathleen Clark, great nephew Christopher Clark, as well as great-great nieces and nephews; Chloe, Sophie, Ravine, Savannah, Chris, Genevieve, Aubrey and Evelyn. He will also be missed by his dear pets Grayson, Boston Blackie, Gracie May, Hemsath, Pywackett, Fuzzy Pickle and Chirp. Steven was a long-time supporter of the Sierra Club and received two associate degrees from Southern Ohio College in computer science and electronic technology.
