Tommy Lee Collins

COLLINS, Tommy Lee age 64 of Oxford passed away at West Chester Medical Center on Thursday, March 29, 2012 at 12:37 PM. He was born in Logan County, West Virginia on October 28, 1947 the son of Lawrence and Goldie Mae (Whitlock) Collins. Tommy was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and was employed as a stationary engineer at Miller Coors for 20 years. On October 21, 1990 in Kentucky, he married Sally Garrett. He is survived by his wife, Sally Collins of Oxford; four sons, Tommy (Andra) Collins of Falmouth KY, Larry Birgel of Hamilton, Rick Birgel of Hamilton, and Terry Birgel of Hamilton; two daughters, Kathy (Chris) Rogers of Hamilton and Kim Collins of Covington, Kentucky; two brothers, Robert Collins of Kentucky, and Mark (Margaret) Collins of Williamsburg, Kentucky; a half-brother, Scotty Collins; a sister-in-law, Norma Jean Collins, and nine grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Tim and Chuck Collins, and a sister-in-law, Tonie Collins. Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson-Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at 2:00 PM with Wendell Coning officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
