Wilder, Velva G., age 89, of Hamilton, passed away Thursday, July 27, 2023. She was born in Jamestown, Kentucky on February 10, 1934 to Mark and Vinnie George. She loved her family and church, enjoyed working in the garden, cooking, and crocheting. She was one of nine children and retired from Cincinnati Bell Telephone after many years as a long distance operator.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Vernon Wilder; daughter, Sharon H. Wilder; sister, Dorothy (Dan) Sebastian; brothers C.B. George, R.V. George.
Velva is survived by her daughter, Carol A. Wilder; sisters, Gladys McKinley, Olva Jackson, Zelma Rice, Mary Lou (Jim) Commins, and Yvonne Duren. She will be loved and cherished by a host of family and friends.
Visitation will be Thursday, August 3, 2023 from 11:00 am until Services at Noon at the Rose Hill Funeral Home, 2565 Princeton Road, Hamilton, Ohio 45011. Pastor Fred Napier will be officiating.
