Walter Secrest Jr.

He was born on July 27, 1938 in Hamilton to Walter Sr. and Alma (Sweeney) Secrest. Walter graduated from Hamilton Catholic High School. He retired from the Federal Service and Army Reserves, after many years. Walter served in the United States Navy. In his spare time, he enjoyed camping, bowling, and watching wrestling on television. Walter loved woodworking, his animals, and working for his church. He is survived by his children Pam Utley, David Secrest, Eva Bowles, Tammie (Mike) Terrell, and Jordan Secrest; grandchildren Adrian, Katlyn, Michael, Desmond, Taylor, and Adrian; great grandchildren Alahna and Jackson; sister Shirley Hubbard; many nieces and nephews; his partner of 13 years, Lillie Hill; and his former spouse of 29 years, Ruby Secrest. Walter was preceded in death by his siblings George Secrest, Clarence Secrest; his parents; and half-brother, James Secrest. Visitation will be held on Monday, September 10, 2018 from 6pm to 8pm at the Webb Noonan Kidd Funeral Home. Funeral service will be on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at 11am at the funeral home with Pastor Dale French officiating. Burial will be at Washington Cemetery in Washington Courthouse, Ohio.
