Willard "Bill" Hurst

Age 75 of Hamilton, went home to be with the Lord surrounded by his loving wife of 58 years, Wanda, and other family and friends on April 24, 2013. Bill was born July 18, 1937 in Portsmouth, OH to Wilmer and Corda (McCally) Hurst. He attended West Portsmouth schools and Portsmouth Business College. Bill married Wanda Adkins April 5, 1955 in Greenup, KY and had three children, David (Deborah) Hurst, Rickey (Terry) Hurst and Jovona (Randy) Randolph. He was employed by Champion Paper for 32 years, retiring in 1998. Bill enjoyed serving the Lord, his grandchildren, great-grandchildren and tinkering with his clocks. He was a charter member of Lighthouse Baptist Church for over 10 years. Bill is survived by his wife; children; grandchildren, Talitha (Kris) Corbin, Vikki (Brian) Bates, Michael (Tiffany) Randolph, Billy Randolph, Davina Lawless, Amber (Dusty) Elam, Danielle (Tyler) Kendall, Kyle Hurst, Andrew Hurst, Jordan Hurst, Marlaina and Miranda Byers; 16 great-grandchildren; and sister, Carolyn (Vernon) Ingles. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Richard Hurst; sister, Janet Clemmons; grandson, Benjamin Hurst; great-grandsons, Saul and Jude Bates; and great-granddaughter, Aubrey Hurst. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 26, 2013 from 6pm-8pm at Lighthouse Baptist Church, 2047 Tuley Road, Fairfield Township 45015. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at 1pm at the church with Pastor Cecil Day officiating. The family wishes to thank their pastor and friend, Cecil Day, for all his comforting support during this difficult time. Memorial contributions can be made in Bill’s name to Lighthouse Baptist Church.
