

William "Bill" King Baldridge Jr, age 73, of Monroe, Ohio, a much loved father, grandfather, brother and teacher, passed away on March 31, 2018 in Cincinnati. Born July 14, 1944 in Hamilton, Ohio, he was the son of the late William K and Edna (nee Davis) Baldridge.
He is survived by two daughters, Dara and Dana Baldridge, one son, Devin (Amy) Baldridge, 3 grandchildren; Mia, Leif & Kai, all of Cincinnati, a brother John Baldridge, Orange Park, FL, and two sisters, Marlane Ringel and Ann Baldridge, both of Hamilton.
He was predeceased by his wife of 48 years earlier in 2017, Sandra Wolff Baldridge, as well as his parents, grandparents and brother-in-law Dr. Leslie Ringel.
He attended Fairfield schools, completed his undergraduate degree at Morehead State and earned his MBA from Xavier University. He taught various business subjects at Lemon-Monroe High School until his retirement. In addition to teaching, he was a volunteer fireman with the former LeSourdsville fire department, serving as chief for several years and was a certified arson inspector. His first job as a teen was as a rides operator at the now defunct LeSourdsville Amusement Park on the vintage 1929 Cyclone Rollercoaster (renamed Screechin' Eagle). He became a much sought after expert in the maintenance and repair of historic wooden roller coasters, traveling across the Midwest to provide safety and maintenance inspections as well as to speak and train crews on preservation methods. His favorite hobby was taking care of his large wooded yard where he had collected numerous species of Oak trees.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 8, 2018 from 4pm to 5:30pm to the time of the service at Ivey Funeral Home, 2565 Princeton Road, Hamilton, Ohio 45011. A private burial will take place at Rose Hill Burial Park the next morning. Condolences may be sent to www.ivey-rosehill.com.
