William R. Coffey

COFFEY Jr., William R. age 54 of Fairfield, died Sunday, March 18, 2012, at his home. He was born in Hamilton, Ohio on June 8, 1957, the son of William R. and Betty J. (Keeling) Coffey Sr., and was a 1975 graduate of Fairfield High school, and a 1998 graduate of Wilmington College. On February 6, 1982, in Fairfield he married Kathy D. Whitehill. He was employed by Beckett Paper Company for thirty-three years and at retirement in 2009 was Manager of Production Planning. An avid bowler, he participated in the B. J. Memorial League and the Happy Hour League at Northwest Lanes. Bill enjoyed playing and listening to blues music, motorcycle riding, camping, and NASCAR.

Survivors include his wife, Kathy; mother, Betty (Ivan) Sumey; three children, Kathie (Mike) Whitt, Angie (Dwain) Heinecke, and Kelly Coffey; nine grandchildren; three sisters, Carolyn (Art) Schutte, Jan Collier (Ric Mesina), and Marilyn Woods; a brother, Robert (Debbie) Coffey. He was preceded in death by his father William R. Coffey in 1972.

Funeral services will be held at 10am Thursday in the Zettler Funeral Home Inc. 2646 Pleasant Ave. with Robert Coffey officiating, followed by burial in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be from 5-8:00pm Wednesday in the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to Hospice of Hamilton or the American Cancer Society.
