LANARI, Alba Peacefully passed away at Queen's Garden on Tuesday, January 4, 2011 in her 89th year. Predeceased by her loving husband Nello. Much loved mother of Alex (Kathy), Amelio (Cheryl), Dennis (Pattie) and Patricia Armstrong (Glen). Loved Nonna of Melissa, Stephanie, Christine and Justin. Dear sister of Antonia (Arduino) Alessandrini, and the late Alda and Nino Sorcinelli. Also dear sister-in-law of Armano and Rina Lanari and the late Teresa and Atelio Federici. Alba will be sadly missed by her extended family and friends. The family would like to thank the extended care of the CCAC and the staff of Queen's Garden Nursing home for their wonderful support. Family and friends will be received at MARKEY DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King St. E. (at Kenilworth) on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Vigil prayers Thursday evening at 8 p.m. Funeral Mass to be held at St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church (165 Prospect St. N.) on Friday, January 7, 2011 at 9:30 a.m. Entombment at Our Lady Of The Angels Cemetery. In memory of Alba, donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family.
