Passed away Monday, January 19, 2008 in his 87th year, surrounded by loving family at Emmanuel House Hospice. Devoted husband of 58 yrs to Brone (Bernice), beloved father of Kristina (Viktoras) Nakas, Irena (Keith) Lapointe, and Rita (Paul) Lachance. Cherished grandfather of Matthew (Anita) and Christopher (Tanya) Lapointe, Renée and Chantal Lachance, and Audra Nakas. He also leaves behind a brother-in-law Povilas Mikalauskas, as well as nieces and nephews. Heartfelt thanks to the wonderful staff at Emmanuel House and to the compassionate nurses of St. Joe’s Home Care. Friends may call at the MARLATT FUNERAL HOME , 615 Main St. East (east of Sanford), on Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m.. Rosary at the funeral home at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mercy Lithuanian Catholic Church, 58 Dundurn St. N., on Thursday, January 22, 2009 at 10 a.m. Interment at St. John’s Lithuanian Cemetery in Mississauga.
