

Beloved wife of the late James Boone (2006), Anne was a devoted and adored mother to Cathy Wood (Bob), Laura McMillan (Jim), and James Boone. She was predeceased by her cherished son Gary Boone (Beverley). Anne is survived by her dear sister Mardi Masters, and predeceased by her siblings Tom, Patricia, and Glenn (Lynne). A proud and devoted grandmother, Anne will be deeply missed by her grandchildren Jason (Danielle), David (Melanie), Dayna (Steve), Austin, Heather (Leo), Tyler, Meagan (Terry) and Ryan, as well as her great-grandchildren Kallista, Ryker, Ethan, Addison, Layla and Aubrey. She will be deeply missed by her nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends. Born on December 30, 1929, in Buffalo, New York, Anne was the daughter of Thomas and Gladys Roberts. She began her career at the Royal Bank of Canada at the young age of 16 and dedicated over 30 years of service there as a secretary. After retiring from the bank, she continued working at Joseph Maziarz Law Office. Anne was a devoted Catholic and a longtime parishioner at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, alongside her husband Jim. She was known for her kind and gentle spirit, strong work ethic, sharp intelligence, love of travel, and deep devotion to her family.
A passionate supporter of the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, Anne was a proud season ticket holder and fan for over 40 years. She was also an enthusiastic member of the Red Hat Society, and her vibrant personality and wonderful sense of humor were a joy to all who knew her. The family extends heartfelt thanks to PSWs Gail and Sally, and nurse Rupert, for their compassionate care, as well as the dedicated staff at Juravinski and St. Peter’s Hospital. Donations in Anne’s memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
Visitation will be held at CREMSOUNT FUNERAL HOME, 322 Fennell Avenue E. on Wednesday, May 7, 2025 from 4-8pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 620 Rymal Road E. on Thursday, May 8, 2025 at 1pm. Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery, 254 Garner Road W.
