Treasured wife of 63 years to Bill Brown whose love for her was immeasurable. Proud and loving mother to Danny and his wife Lisa; cherished Grandma to Nyle (Jess) and Josh (Brooke) and great-grandma to her precious Caiden and Riley.
Audrey is survived by her “little” sister Ann for whom she had always been a rock; sister-in-law Evelyn and brother-in-law Merv. Audrey is predeceased by parents Harold and Iva Van Sickle and siblings Ruth (Jim/Herb) and Roy (Barb).
Beloved Aunt to Pat (Randy), Paul (MJ), Rick(Ronnie), Debbie (Wayne), Jerry (Kris), Alan (Lisa), Karen (Vince), Amanda (Kate), Rebecca (Justin) and Bradley (Brandi). Audrey also leaves many generations of great nieces and nephews. Also remembered fondly by Julia, cousins and dear friends near and far.
Audrey was a dedicated employee of Bell Canada for 34 years where she made many life-long friends. In retirement, she provided child care and took great pride in those children for which she cared.
Audrey loved to travel and she and Bill had many wonderful adventures around the world. She was a wonderful cook and entertainer and whether Hamilton, Caledonia or Arizona, the door was always open. First and foremost, Audrey’s priority was her family. She loved get-togethers for special occasions and for no reason at all. The memories of these times will never be forgotten.
Heartfelt thanks to the Hamilton General Emergency Department, 7-South and the Palliative Care Team for their exemplary care.
For those who wish, a donation can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Hamilton Health Sciences Foundation.
A service will be held at Cresmount Funeral Home, 322 Fennell Ave. East, Hamilton on Wednesday, November 26th at 1:00 pm.
The Celebration of life will be announced in the summer of 2026. Date, time and location TBD.
“You will never be far from us, held close in our treasured memories.”
