Barbara May Allingham

Beloved wife of the late Douglas (1975). Predeceased by her brother Ian Murdoch and two sisters Helen Thompson and Ann-Marie Morris. Loving mother of Jean-Ann (Alex vanVoorst) and Beth (Robert Gow). Cherished Grandma of Jason (Brandee), Terri, and Kevin (Eve) vanVoorst, Philip Jefferson (Nikki), Melanie Dunlop (Adam) and Emily Sharpen (Trevor). Great Grandma of ten. Fondly remembered by numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Barbara will be especially missed by her closest and dearest friends Barb, Phyllis and Brenda.

Jean-Ann and Beth would like to acknowledge the care their mother received from the doctors and nurses both in trauma and palliative care at the Hamilton General Hospital. They also thank the PSW’s from St. Joseph’s Home Care for all their help and understanding over the years as they too became her family.

Private cremation arrangements were entrusted to Marlatt Funeral Home in Hamilton. In keeping with Barbara’s wishes no service has taken place. There will be a spring interment followed by a Celebration of Life. Details will be made available when arrangements are made in the spring. If you wish, donations in Barbara’s memory can be made to the CNIB or the Ontario District Humane Society
