It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Basil on July 22, 2016 at The Meadows Long Term Care in his 101st year. Beloved husband of Thora for 59 years. Cherished father of Noreen, Joyce, Maria (Arnold), Richard (Connie), Deborah, Donna (Bryon) and Linda (Zen). A loving Grampy to many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Brother to Bernard (Gloria). Basil was an avid gardener and a great golfer. Special thanks are extended to the entire team of Fieldcote Lane in The Meadows for their compassionate care. Friends and family will be received at CRESMOUNT FUNERAL HOME – FENNELL CHAPEL, 322 Fennell Avenue East on Sunday July 24 from 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 8pm. Funeral Mass will be held at Regina Mundi Catholic Church, 631 Mohawk Road West on Monday July 25 at 10 am followed by interment at Resurrection Cemetery.
