Bernice Bartoszek

Peacefully passed away, surrounded by her loving family at Juravinski Hospital on August 13, 2015 at the age of 87. Predeceased by her beloved husband of 67 years, Antoni (2014). Loving mother of Elizabeth Trutwin (Gerald), Christina Poper (Alexander) and Susan Ellement (Kenneth). Cherished Babcia of Luke, Jennifer, Laura, Frank, Nick, Michael, Kathleen and Theresa. Great Babcia of Hudson, Claire and Vaughn. Bernice was an avid gardener and a soap opera enthusiast who loved her UNO (when she was winning). Family remained her number one priority and she always enjoyed passing her wisdom and treasured traditions. Special thanks to the staff at The Village of Wentworth Heights and Juravinski for their exceptional care. A visitation will be held at TRUSCOTT, BROWN & DWYER FUNERAL CHAPEL, 1309 King Street East, (across from Gage Park, at the delta) on Monday, August 17 from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm with Vigil Prayers at 7:30 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Stanislaus Roman Catholic Polish Church, 8 St. Ann Street (at Barton) on Tuesday, August 18 at 9 am. Interment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
