Betty Hubbard

It is with broken hearts that we mourn the passing of a cherished Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Aunt and Friend. Peacefully on September 8, 2015 with her family by her side, Betty made her journey to Heaven, where Carol and Lori met their Mom with open arms as she passed through Heaven’s gate. Betty will be terribly missed by her adored husband of 54 years, Dennis. Beloved Mom to Rollie, Cenie (Jim), Joe, Kimmie (Ross), Danny (Janice) and mother in law to Bob and Ron. Grandma to 17 grandchildren, and many great and great-great grand-children. Survived by sister Lillian and sister-in-law Donna. Her unconditional love for her family will be sadly missed. Betty was born in St. John’s Newfoundland to parents Timothy and Mary Harvey. She was a self-taught seamstress who loved to make her children’s clothes. She served as past-President of Ladies Auxiliary at the Hamilton Naval Veterans Association. Our heartfelt thanks go out to the health care professionals on the flex wing of the 7th floor at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Your phenomenal care and compassion given to Betty and our family will always be remembered. Memorial visitation will be held at Markey Dermody Funeral Home, 1774 King Street East (near Kenilworth) on Sunday, September 13th from 2-4 and 7-9 pm , where the Memorial Service will be held on Monday, September 14th, at 11:00 am. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation Centre would be appreciated
