Blaz Novosel

Loving husband of Marija for over 58 years. Cherished Father of Snježana Novosel (Gustavo Rosabal) and Blanka Baldassarre (Gaetano). Adored Dida to Jenny Draganić (Mark) and Antonio & Roman Baldassarre. Dearest brother of Ljuba Peričak (Branko), Josip Novosel (Dragica), Dragutin Novosel (Ljubica) and predeceased by eldest brother Branko (Sofija). He will be dearly missed by his nieces, nephews, Kumovi and friends in both Canada and Croatia.

Blaž was a Chemist and Professor while in Croatia, and a dedicated employee of Colombian Chemicals from where he retired after 27 years of service. He will be remembered for his intelligent mind, wit and sense of humor. Blaž loved to engage in philosophical conversation, a game of chess, a card game, but most of all, he loved to entertain his family and friends in his home both here, but especially in Malinska, Croatia.

Visitation will be held at Markey-Dermody Funeral Home, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth), on Monday, March 25th from 2-4 pm and 6-9 pm with Vigil Prayers to be said at 7:30 pm.Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Cross Croatian Parish, 1883 King Street East on Tuesday, March 26th at 9:30 am.

Interment to follow at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery.
