

Bruce was born to James and Barbara Brown in Hamilton, Ontario. He was the first bairn born in Canada. His eldest sister Isabel and brother Alexander were born in Scotland before emigrating to Canada with their parents.
Bruce James Brown and Patricia Josephine Merritt were married on April 27,1957 and were together for 68 years. They have two children Debbie Simpson and Greg (Lori) Brown. The joy of his life were his 4 grandchildren Shaun Simpson, Erin Burke (Tim Burke) and Alexis Brown and 1 great-grandchild Juniper Burke. He also adored his little girl Cassie. Bruce also has many nieces and nephews who he always had time for and loved dearly.
Bruce was a long time Proctor and Gamble employee for 37 years where he had many friends. Bruce had a passion for golf, woodworking and music. Bruce made many friends wherever he went and whatever he did. You all know who you are. Bruce will always be known for his love, kindness, accessibility, sense of humour, wit, dignity, pride and was always the gentleman. His love for his family was immeasurable and he leaves a wonderful legacy.
The Brown family would like to thank everyone for their love and support for Bruce and our family during the last few months. A special thanks to Dr. Joanna Dionne and staff at Juravinski Hospital for their professional and wonderful care. Also thank you to the full staff at Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice for their truly remarkable and loving care.
