Carlito Alcos Agaton passed away peacefully on January 20, 2026, surrounded by his children Karen and Johnathan, son-in-law Jesse, and niece and nephew Monica and Andre. He was a devoted father, husband, a hardworking professional, and a quiet fighter who faced life’s challenges with perseverance, strength, and dignity.
Born on November 7, 1951, Carlito grew up in Pidigan, Abra, where he developed the resilience and values that guided him throughout his life. He later settled in Hamilton, Ontario which he called home until his passing. Carlito worked as a Civil Engineering Technologist at Ontario Power Generation (OPG) for over 25 years, a career he took pride in and remained dedicated to until retirement.
Carlito was a loving father to Johnathan Agaton and Karen Agaton. He was a dedicated Toronto Raptors fan and never missed a game. He found joy in simple routines - sharing meals, listening to music on Saturday mornings, and enjoying the quiet comforts of home. He deeply cherished the companionship of his cats, Kyle and Jasper, and is now reunited with his late cats, Tiffy, Padre and Spartacus.
Carlito was predeceased by his beloved wife of 36 years Flordeliz Agaton (née Medina), his parents, Rita Alcos Agaton and Timoteo Agaton Sr., and his brothers Nestor Agaton and Juanito Agaton.
He is survived by his siblings, listed from oldest to youngest: Florencia Agaton, Clarita Anin (née Agaton), Carmelo Agaton, Erlinda Macatiag (née Agaton), and Timoteo Agaton Jr., along with extended family and friends who will remember him for his steady presence, quiet strength, and fighting spirit.
Visitation will be held at St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church, 620 Rymal Road East, Hamilton from 10:30 am - 11:30 am, followed by the Funeral Mass at 11:30 am. We say our final goodbyes at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery, 254 Garner Road West, Ancaster at 2:30 pm.

I have finished the race,
I have kept the faith.”
