It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother and grandmother, Katie on May 27, 2016 after a courageous battle with her family by her side. Best friend and soul mate to Ted. Cherished mother to Mark (Shelly), Sherri (Pete) and Devon. Adored Nana to Tyler, Kyle, Madison, Christopher, Nicole and Lexis. Daughter of Barbara McDonald and sister to Jackie, Jimmy, Debbie (predeceased), Bonnie, Chrissy and Lenny and loving aunt to many nieces and nephews. Her strength and determination and caring nature were an inspiration to all who knew her. We will forever be grateful to the staff at the Juravinski, especially Dr. Kapoor, Dr. Slaven and Dr. Shaw for their excellent care. Also a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Rechner and the incredible staff at Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice. Her family will receive friends at the Cresmount Funeral Home, 322 Fennell Ave. E. on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A service to celebrate her life will be held on Friday, June 3rd at 11 a.m. in the chapel followed by cremation. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice would be greatly appreciated.
