Stan and Kay Powell, married 67 years, are together again. Kay passed away at Shalom Village October 7, 2012. Alzheimer’s claimed the Kay we knew in 2009. Her family sincerely appreciates the care and compassion shown Kay by the dedicated Shalom staff and volunteers during the past seven years. Kay is survived by her sister Mary Chirka, grandson Tyler Atkinson, daughter Linda Atkinson and her husband Tom Atkinson. A special thanks to Tyler, who visited all his grandparents regularly bringing love and joy into their lives. In accordance with Kay’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Arrangements entrusted to Marlatt Funeral Home, Hamilton. For those who wish, donations may be made to Shalom Village, Hamilton.
