Cecylia Szpilewski

With loving memories and saddened hearts we announce the passing of Cecylia on Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at Juravinski Hospital at the age of 85 years. Predeceased by her beloved husband Antony (2002). Deeply cherished mother of Christina “Mirka” and her husband Anthony Lopez. She was a treasured grandmother of Richard Lopez & his wife Adina, and Tania Erhart & her husband Phillippe. A very wonderful great-grandmother of Stephanie, Gabrielle & Tristan Erhart and Daniella & Anthony Lopez. Her best entertainment on special gatherings was to sit in the wing chair and watch the 5 great grandchildren play. Many thanks to her wonderful, caring and compassionate doctor Marie Syty-Golda. An extra thank you to cousin Francis Romanowski for her help in our time of grief and her many visits to Cecylia on so many different occasions. Lastly, a great thank you to cousin Barbara and her husband Joe Kedzierski for the supplied pastries from their St. Joseph’s Bakery in St. Catharines. Visitation will be held at TRUSCOTT, BROWN & DWYER FUNERAL CHAPEL (1309 King Street East, across from Gage Park at the delta) on Friday, June 13 from 6 to 9 pm with Rosary at 7:30 pm. The Funeral Service will be held at St. Stanislaus Roman Catholic Polish Church (Barton at St. Ann Street) on Saturday, June 14 at 9 am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to your favourite charity.

Thank you mother, for the arms that have held us, and the heart that has loved us. You are forever in our hearts.
