It is with much sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Chester Wlodzimierz Sadowski on April 16, 2023 in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. Born April 7, 1950, Chester is survived by his children Samira (Brian Finucane) and Manuel (Gabi Stucki), grandchildren Maximilian Sadowski, Dylan and Wyatt Finucane; sadly missed by his brothers Richard (Debbie) and John (Yvette Doucet), and his extended family both here and in Switzerland.
Chester was born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, the son of Bruno and Christine (Piaskowska) Sadowski.
His childhood was filled with a love of sports, especially football. As he started his career, he worked as a Laboratory Chief with Sherwin Williams Paints in Montreal. However, the call to travel was always present, and he soon started on his worldwide journeys. From 1973 to 1978, he travelled through Great Britain, Greece, Africa, South America and many other locations and always met the most interesting people on his journeys. Chester settled in Switzerland in 1978 and started his family with his travelling partner and wife Charlotte.
In later years, he had his struggles with various health issues, but with great determination and effort, he overcame so much. He was much admired for his conversations on a variety of topics, his determination to play golf at every opportunity, and his enduring love for his family. He enjoyed visiting with his grandchildren, playing cards with Max, teaching Dylan about farming, rocking Wyatt to sleep, and most of all he loved playing golf with his son Manu and his two brothers John and Ric.
He will be missed. Rest in Peace Chester.
