It is with deep sorrow that I announce the sudden passing of my mother, Christel Neumann at the age of 93. She is reunited with her beloved husband, Wilhelm (2017). Dearly loved mother and best friend of Christiane. She will be remembered by many good friends as well as family in Germany, France and Sweden. She was a gracious and kind woman with a positive outlook and showed gratitude for everything in her life. She kept in touch with people through the heartfelt letters she wrote which made others happy. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Special thank you to the doctors and nurses at the Hamilton General Hospital. Christel was also grateful for the excellent care she received while in the ICC Program earlier this year. Cremation has taken place. Visitation at MARKEY DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street East, Hamilton, on Friday, August 30, from 11-1pm. Private Memorial Service to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Trinity Lutheran Church or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
