Christos Germanos

Chris was a father to Thomas, Helen Tanguay, Sheila Delaney(Steve) and George (Melanie). He was a loving Grandfather to Scott (Jennifer), Andrew, Allen (Jelica), Spencer (Hailey), and Chloe. Loving great-grandfather and Dedo to Andrew, Corrissa, Ethan and Carson

Chris was born in Skopia, Greece and came to Canada in 1950. He always wanted to be a chef so he started his career at Martins Grill in Hamilton. He enjoyed it so much that he decided to open his own restaurant called Chris’ Open Kitchen located on James St S. After many years of owning his own restaurant he decided to semi-retire, but continued doing what he loved and worked as a chef at The Police Association.

Once he retired he enjoyed spending time drinking coffee with his friends in the Greek Community at the Greek coffee shop or Limeridge Mall. He was an avid fisherman and was well known in Caledonia at the Grand River. He also enjoyed gardening, playing darts and spoiling his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A funeral service for Christos will be held Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at 10:00 AM at Cresmount Funeral Home 322 Fennell Ave. E, Hamilton. Following the funeral will be a burial at Mt Hamilton Cemetery, Rymal Rd. E, Hamilton.
