

Passed away at his home in Hamilton, Ontario surrounded by those he loved on Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at 69 years of age. He is survived by his beloved daughter Andrea, her husband Cody, his step-children April and Steven, his longtime assistant Karen and a throng of close and dear friends. Born in Worthing, England on December 28, 1946, he immigrated to Canada less than two years later with his parents Derrick and Helen. Raised in Oakville, he attended the University of Western Ontario and graduated from law school in 1971. Following his call to the bar in 1973, he established a law practice in Hamilton where he was a loyal and trusted advisor to a large range of clients for more than forty years. A committed professional, model airplane enthusiast, accomplished photographer and seasoned traveler, Clyde loved life. A man with considered and astute views on human nature and human history, he cultivated cherished friendships with a host of people from across the full spectrum of society. People liked Clyde and Clyde liked nothing more than welcoming friends to his home for frequent celebrations. Whenever anyone inquired as to how he was, the response was always the same – “Fabulous!” He will be greatly missed. Cremation has taken place. There will be a visitation at CRESMOUNT FUNERAL HOME-FENNELL CHAPEL, 322 Fennell Avenue East, Hamilton on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. As per Clyde’s request there will be no funeral. Those wishing to do so are encouraged to make donations to either the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society.
